The First World War Memorial colonnade, was built as part of the Hall of Memory to designs by S. N. Cooke and W. N. Twist, in 1925, it was relocated to St Thomas’ Peace Gardens when Centenary Square was laid out in 1989.

The Colonnade
Few people know that The Colonnade originally formed part of the Hall of Memory park. It now stands as part of the St Thomas' Peace Gardens and is free to explore all year round.
